Our Story

Kiara Bailey started in her mother's salon at sixteen. By twenty she was behind the chair on Rodeo Drive, working with A-list clients. She styled for the Oscars and The Oprah Winfrey Show.

Working with that level of clientele, she saw a gap no one else was solving: there was no hair extension method built to the standard those clients demanded. Safe. Beautiful. Lasting. She searched the world for the finest hair and founded Hair Lingerie in 2005 and we became the Original Tape-In extension line.

Today, Hair Lingerie has been worn by Madonna, Demi Moore, Christina Aguilera, Jessica Alba, and Barbra Streisand, among others. Twenty years later, the standard hasn't changed.

The Hair

Hair Lingerie sources premium virgin hair directly from Mongolia. Every bundle is hand selected before it becomes Preferred Line, and our hair is never coated.

Most hair on the market is coated in formaldehyde, silicones, waxes, or other industrial-grade treatments designed to make low-quality, damaged hair look healthy. It holds up for two to three move-ups, then dries out, tangles, and mats. Hair Lingerie has never used that approach, and never will.

Three Ways to Wear It

Tape-In — Hair Lingerie panels are 4" wide, not the industry-standard 1.5", for faster installs with fewer pieces and less visible tape. We are the only professional line to use both a tape and adhesive application that is more gentle on the wearer's natural hair.

Application uses STAY, our medical-grade adhesive, paired with a low-residue tape formulated specifically to protect the natural hair. Every panel uses a lace and polymer top, not hard plastic, so it stays soft, flexible, and breathable, with zero damage or discomfort to the client. Our removal process is safe for fine and fragile hair, and application is customizable for any hair type.

Sew-In Weft — 11" wide, can be cut anywhere without unraveling. No glue needed.

The spine is thin and flexible, with no moustache or return hair, so it sits flatter when stacking and avoids the moisture retention and itchiness common with other weft types. Nothing is taped, glued, or heated to install it, so removal is just as gentle, no pulling, no residue.

K-Tip — Italian keratin, applied at a lower temperature than standard keratin, for less damage to your natural hair.

The bond melts at a lower temperature than conventional K-tips, reducing heat exposure to the natural hair during install and creating a flatter, more discreet finish. It stays soft and flexible once applied, with no tension or pulling from hard, bulky bonds, and removes cleanly without damage.
